I'll Be Home is a supernatural drama about a young woman grappling with the recent loss of her husband.
Creator and star of the film, Cecilia Tripp, asked me to develop a title sequence that would carry emotional tone of the ending through the credits. To do this, I chose key moments in the story to echo the story through the title sequence. Each frame sets a speaks to a specific moment in the story and a specific emotional theme: longing, love, loss, and letting go.
I chose a warm and ethereal color palette to match the tone of the short, then added a touch of grain to give it a tangible, real feeling.
